"The dog has got more fun out of man than man has out of the dog, for the clearly demonstrable reason that man is the more laughable of the two animals". - James Thurber. ![]() Cathy has a wide knowledge of animal behaviour at a scientific level, holding a BSc degree in Psychology from Exeter University, and she has subsequently been training dogs for many years. She started her life in the dog world when she was given a deaf English Setter (Emma) as a birthday present.
![]() Lisa was a professional dog trainer with Hearing Dogs for the Deaf in Oxford where she trained dogs to recognise sound. She has now moved back to Cheltenham, her home town where she continues to work her gun dogs, which has been her passion for many years. She also had much experience in training puppy's prior to joining Puppytime. Lisa takes both the Puppy and Adult Starter classes. ![]() Maureen and Mike have kept dogs for more years than they care to remember, but thought they were fully trained if they sat down before being given their food bowls (the dogs that is), with the coming of a new puppy they decided to join Puppytime and just stayed on.
![]() I have been at Puppytime since 2002 and have a miniature long haired dachshund called Betsy! My interest in animal behaviour was awakened by my interest in horses, currently having two of my own. Starting at age five I have competed in dressage, qualifying many times at both Regional and twice at National level, winning in 2004 the British Dressage National Prelim Championship and in 2007 I came 10th in the British Dressage National Elementary Restricted Championship. I gained a 2:1 BSc (Hons) degree in Equine Science, completed in 2008 at The University of the West of England, Hartpury College. Horses are now somewhat on the back burner as I concentrate on developing my two businesses - an eBay shop and equestrian photography Equisnaps. |
