Cathy our Puppytime founder after a hard fought battle with cancer is no longer with us. She is sadly missed. St Lukes is not the same on Wednesday Evenings without hearing her calling out "Dogs in the down" and ten seconds later "Dogs in the sit".

Lisa was a professional dog trainer with Hearing Dogs for the Deaf in Oxford where she trained dogs to recognise sounds. She is now based in Twyning near Tewkesbury, where she follows her passion to work her six gundogs, five Springers and a Working Cocker. Lisa is a qualified Kennel Club Judge to the Bronze level of the Kennel Club Good Citizens Awards, and is currently studying a C.P.D. plan towards accreditation in the Kennel Club Accredited Instructors Scheme.

Mike and Maureen

Maureen and Mike have kept dogs for more years than they care to remember, but thought they were fully trained if they sat down before being given their food bowls (the dogs that is), with the coming of a new puppy they decided to join Puppytime and just stayed on.

Maureen helps out at the classes and Mike has written the website and is our official photographer. We are owned by three working Cockers Siwann, Tegwyn and Celyn. Our dogs work on local Saturday shoots. They have entered in Tests and Trials and we have had great success at the gamefair scurries. Its gives great pleasure for us to see them working at their intended occupation.

"Let loose the spaniels wherewith to beat the breaks and thickets".

I have been at Puppytime since 2002 and have a miniature long haired dachshund called Betsy! My interest in animal behaviour was awakened by my interest in horses, currently having two of my own. Starting at age five I have competed in dressage, qualifying many times at both Regional and twice at National level, winning in 2004 the British Dressage National Prelim Championship and in 2007 I came 10th in the British Dressage National Elementary Restricted Championship. I gained a 2:1 BSc (Hons) degree in Equine Science, at Hartpury College.

I am qualified to level 3 in dog grooming and run my own mobile grooming business, Regency Grooming. There is a brand new purpose built grooming van in which the dogs receive their pampering sessions. Offering free puppy ( up to six months of age ) introductory sessions to get them used to the grooming process. These are also great for short haired dogs who require less in the way of styling but still need to get used to having baths and nails clipped.
